Hi! It's Josephine and I've got something to say!
Last week I was sick and I heard that my brother called me lazy. So, I got better real real quick to come and tell you I am NOT lazy! I'm so much smarter than my brother is that I have mommy and momma do everything for me. Why would I do it myself and use energy, when I can save that energy for later? C'mon. Let's get real. So there. I'm not lazy.
This weekend was Mothers day - so we had a lot of celebration! We went to this place called a restaurant, and would you believe - mommy said no food for me! Momma gave Dylan some asparagus soup and some orange. Mommy said that if I tried to eat, I would have a real bad tummy ache so I just stuck to my half bottle of milk and some juice. Now I'm back to eating everything I used to, though. Yesterday mommy gave me lots of food at the Subway restaurant (it had chairs and food like the place on Sunday!) and I didn't feel a tummy ache so I think I'm all better now. My favorite food yesterday is hard to pick - I liked the pickles and the banana peppers.
On Sunday we went to this restaurant nearby and with us was Grandma and Zayde and Aunt Hope and Uncle Andrew and Cousin Clayton and me and Dylan and Mommy and Momma. We were celebrating mommy and momma. Mommy had us put our hands into this molding stuff and she wrote our initials in it, that was for Momma to hang at work so she always has a little peice of us with her. We gave mommy bookmarks that we colored (mine looks better) and a super cool necklace with our names and birthday and birthstone (its pretty blue and I want to eat it, but mommy won't let me even have a lick!).
Anyway, Mommy said that since I was mad at my brother for the last blog, I could write this one. I'm going to say he's lazy - even though he is hyper active.
Mommy says its nap time now, but she promises me that she will post some photos for you to see. And maybe even a video!
BUT BEFORE WE GO!!!! Mommy came to us last week and told us some really really good news!!! I'm not going to be the only little girl anymore! We are having a baby girl cousin!!! We have 4 boy cousins and no girls but now we are having a girl!!!

Hi!!!
Hi there! It's Dylan. Mommy and Josephine are taking a nap, so I snuck out of my crib to write to you. Mommy said we can't blog until Josephine feels better (more on that later), but I want to blog! I like to talk about myself.
So, Josephine got a stomach virus on Monday. I don't know what that means, but mommy keeps feeling her forehead, giving her different drops (she said one is to make her head feel cooler and one is to help her tummy stop aching) and she keeps saying that Josephine can't have milk or any food until she feels all better. She gets juice! Today I saw her drinking purple juice. It looked yummy but mommy said that since I'm not sick, I should drink my milk. So I do. I also eat my food and my yogurt and my puffs and I try to eat mommy's food. When momma eats near me I try to steal her food too. I heard mommy tell momma that that was proof that I wasn't sick. Josephine is starting to feel a little bit better, but she keeps crying and I don't like it. I want to play with her again. Mommy won't let us play even next to each other! I miss my sister. Mommy said that soon we will get to play again like we used to, but we have to wait until Josephine is better. Mommy doesn't want me to get sick.
Josephine has been sleeping - a lot - since Monday. It means that I've had mommy and momma all to myself this whole time! It's been fun, but it still feels empty.
Anywho.. I went on a walk this weekend! Did mommy or momma tell you about it? We went on a walk for Grandpa David - mommy says that's her daddy and I'm named after him (I tried to tell mommy that my name is DYLAN not DAVID but she didn't want to listen). We took a train and a subway and then walked really far to get TO the walk. Then we did the walk. Then we walked far and took a subway to a train to walk home. The train station is really close to where we live. I liked the train. There was a nice woman on the way there that came and took two papers from mommy (she said "Tickets please!" so I guess we had tickets, but mommy always says tickets are bad, so I don't really understand). On the way home it was a man and he wasn't as friendly. The train was fun though. I got to sit near a window and look outside at the trees. They went by so fast! I almost got dizzy, but my stroller kept me safe. I was so tired when we got home, but we went right away to one of my favorite places - THE PARK! We saw all my friends and got to play and have fun fun fun lots and lots of fun. I had so much fun. Then we went home and played some more! Finally we got to go to sleep and I was happy. I had such a fun day. Momma took lots and lot of pictures, so I will share some with you!
In other news, Josephine has figured out that she can sleep on her tummy - she has mommy and momma put her on her tummy and she sleeps so nicely and quietly. I can sit in my crib and just enjoy laying there. I kept telling Josephine to roll onto her tummy because its comfortable, but she is lazy. Silly Josephine.
I, on the other hand, am becoming a "very big boy" according to mommy. I have been playing tricks on mommy lately and standing. I can pull myself from sitting on her or momma's lap to stand up almost all by myself. Every time I do, mommy kisses me on the cheek and says "stop growing up so fast!" I think if she really didn't want me to grow up, she wouldn't kiss me. She tells momma that it freaks her out because I'm going to start running very soon. I don't know what running is though, so I'm excited to learn this new thing! Mommy and momma both keep trying to help me to take a step while they are holding me, but I don't want to. I like to just stand up.
Also, we can both speak now! I say "Ba ba ba" and Josephine says something that sounds like "blah blah blah." Mommy and momma keep trying to get us to say it but we won't say it when they want - its so fun to play tricks on them!
Mommy got us some new toys last week. She got us a Hokey Pokey Elmo but he lost his hokey (I don't know what that means, but he just sings and wiggles a little). Josephine REALLY LOVES him. Mommy took a video of Josephine playing with Elmo, so I'll show you that.
Uh oh.. Nap time is almost over! I will show you the photos and then sneak back into my crib so mommy doesn't know about this blog! hehehe

| Hello! |
Here is a video, because we are so darn cute and fun!
Make sure your speakers are ON before pressing play!
So, since we last gave you a big update, here's what's new:
Josephine has learned how to hold her bottle, and will tilt it upwards when it needs to be tilted. When it is full, it's heavy and therefore hard, but she uses the high chair tray to balance it on. She drops it pretty often, so she hasn't held it in a store high chair yet. She is also able to sit up for a much longer period of time now, instead of just a minute or two - she's at 20+ minutes! Plus, when she falls she doesn't scream like she used to, so she is either getting used to it or it doesn't hurt her as much anymore. She has been trying very hard to roll over - we think she is getting jealous of Dylan. She still loves her Lettersaurus, and has been having fun making music with the stacking cups that her Great Uncle Paul and Great Aunt Jessica (and their first cousins, once removed?) got for her. She claps them together and gets a great big smile on her face because she made music! She also loves to sit and read books with Mommy or Momma - as long as someone else is doing the reading, she's happy! Her favorite book is hard to pick, since she has so many, but we think it's "Just Josie and the Lucky Number" - can you guess why? She is a thumb sucker, and has strong feelings that that is the only way to go. When Dylan is nearby and using his pacifier, she will reach over and grab it out of his mouth and put it on the other side of her, where he cannot reach. She will be an asset when it comes time to wean him! Josephine recently learned about a red monster - his name is Elmo. When he comes on the screen (we watch Sesame Street during super cranky times when nothing else will calm the kids down in the evening - usually after a skipped nap), Josephine lights up and stares at the TV. She otherwise couldn't be bothered with the show, but likes to relax on us.
Dylan has not yet mastered the bottle holding, but he is getting very close. He knows how to hold it, but doesn't seem to have the strength (or maybe its the independence) to hold it up on his own. He loves all his foods though - can't seem to stop eating them. He enjoys puffs, bagel chips (we let him suck on the Garlic flavored ones and he tried to eat the whole bag), lettuce, pasta, basically anything we give him - he loves. Mommy took him and his sister to Grandma and Zayde's for a surprise visit and when we sat at the table to eat a pizza, Claude (Zayde) was holding Dylan. Dylan reached, pushing Claude's arm away and grabbed at the pizza. Mommy gave him a little piece of the crust and he only wanted more. He can sit up for just about any amount of time, and can reach about a foot in front of himself without falling over. He is still really enjoying the ball that his Grandma Liz and Dale got him, and also enjoys the stacking cups and the stacking rings that his Great Uncle Paul & family got them. He especially likes to taste them. His newest thing is, as you saw in the video above, to say "ba ba ba." At our Twins Meetup for April, he began saying it while people were getting their stuff together. Perhaps he was trying to say bye-bye?
This past weekend was our April Twins Meetup. We've got another set of twins that has joined, Lillian and Graham and their parents Sarah and Brian. We also met (but didn't get to invite to the meetup) Liam and Aaden, who are 9 days older than Josephine and Dylan, and their mom Benjie and stay at home dad Mike. They live just a few blocks from us, so we will probably see them often. This latest meetup was at Susan, Lily & Eve's home. Lily and Eve insisted that we be given a copy of their favorite book "Two is for Twins" - and the kids really enjoy it!
As you know, this May marks the 18th year of Sarah's father, David, passing. So, next week we will be joining many others in the walk for Pancreatic Cancer - there is one week left to donate if you would still like to! You can donate by clicking here. You can also join our team, if you would like to walk with us (required pledge is $50, which can come as donations from others or yourself). We have so far managed to raise $600! And we have another $50 that is coming, as our friend (and nanny to Lillian and Graham) is going to walk with us! We are very excited to have made such a donation for the Lustgarten Foundation possible. They are working hard to end PC and we couldn't thank them enough! But the real people we can't thank enough is YOU. You have done the donating! You have opened your hearts and your wallets! You've done this for us, and we thank and love you for it!

Enjoyment
Just a few photos for your enjoyment...
We recently met Aaden and Liam - fraternal boys, just 9 days older than Josephine & Dylan. (And we met their mommy Benjie and dad Mike, too.) We also met mom Maria and dad Sergi, with their 2.5 month olds Daniel and Stacy. Of course, this doesn't include the girls we briefly met who are about 2 weeks younger than Josephine & Dylan, because we didn't catch names.
Basically, there are a lot of twins in the area!!! How exciting!!
