Week 28 has arrived! Yesterday we got new photos and weights. If you look back, they are in a little weight competition.. First she was heavier, then him, and now she has regained that title :)
OK, OK, so we don't really WANT competition between them but they've decided it and so it shall be!
Baby A (girl):
2lb 11 oz
Baby B (boy):
2lb 8oz
Since the photos aren't spectacular, we put arrows on the girl to signify two body parts to help you see. The black arrow is pointing to an arm, which is perched under her chin. The red arrow is pointing to her face. The boy won't grace us with a profile view (perhaps saving his cuteness for arrival?), so what you see is what you get: a spine.
Meanwhile, we decided that since you have all been oh-so-patient, we will give you another hint as to their names! Yes, its true. This one doesn't require decoding, like the earlier one did.. (Plus, that was apparently too hard for many.) The sentence below in green (<--that word not included) has a bunch of letters in it. If you scramble the letters, first and middle names will be revealed! (Last name is obviously Frank.)

New Pics :)
On Wednesday we went back for another sonogram, a chance to see the kiddies.
Baby A (girl):
1lb 11oz
Baby B (boy):
1lb 12oz
The pictures aren't great - but with A you can see the head. She is facing Sarah's back/spine. Baby B's head is also on the right hand of the photo. In some images, it appeared that they were cuddled together - his head on her chest near her neck. Too cute for words!!
Otherwise, they are looking very good. Heartbeats and sizes are on target for their age.
In the coming weeks we will be preparing the nursery... We just got paint, Stef will paint next week while Sarah is off to the mall to waste time (i.e. not breathe fumes), and following that, we will be off to DC for a long weekend to allow the apartment to air out. We also have purchased "ABC" letters with animals on them, so it will match our animal theme. We are planning on getting 10-12" letters of their names (a hint at the bottom) to hang over the cribs - just the first initial, not the whole name. We are hoping to have their room set up (except the letters, so we can share the room with you) by mid to late August.
Time sure is flying!!!

Get your bum outta my face!
Got to see the babies yesterday. Both are growing and moving very nicely and the doctors are happy. Their weights and femur lengths are right on target :)
Girl baby:
1lb 7oz
If you look closely, you can see her hand on her face, near her eyes. She was not sucking her thumb, though her mouth was moving - nothing was near/in it.
Boy baby:
1lb 5oz
He was a little less cooperative for a photo op and, as the tech put it, "His tushy is in front of his sisters face!"
Outside of the photos, we are just getting ourselves as ready as we can for their arrival. Stef has only a few days left at school, and will be busy busy until then. Then we are taking a short trip for her birthday to the Berkshires, hopefully to DC after that and then its home for the summer (with only a few VERY short trips) to set up the nursery.
23 weeks 5 days today.. 16 weeks and 2 days to go!

Hi!
Sarah here (Stef isn't as into the posting, even though she loves the sharing)..
I realized that we got profile shots of the babies and never posted them! Silly us...
Before that, a poke of fun at my birthday mother (send her birthday wishes today, June 16!).. I called to wish her a happy day and before hanging up she said, "I'm sorry, I forgot. What did you say the kids names were?" Silly her! She thought she could use the early morning and my lack of sleep against me! First off, we didn't tell her or anyone else the names we've been considering. There's a reason for this. It's a seeeeeeeeeecwet! Second off, was I supposed to believe that my mother forgot her unborn grandchildren's names??? She's not THAT old! hehe
That fun aside, here's the profile shots!!

Faces!
I know, I know.. I've been busy and haven't uploaded the latest photos..
That said, I'm finally uploading them! These are from last week. The technician only gave us photos of their profiles, so I've picked the clearest to share. :)

Oh, and for those of you that are curious (and haven't asked..) We ARE thinking about names and we are NOT disclosing that information to anyone, at all. A few people have asked, so I figured I'd put it out there before more questions came.

Time moves slow...
...in between sonograms.
Tomorrow is our next scan, and I (Sarah) an psyched. We will have new photos ready to scan.. we will get to see all the little organs and whatnot. They are also going to do a test like an EKG on the babies and make sure their hearts are in tip-top shape. We aren't concerned that they aren't, but since we can have extra tests done - why not?! So I'll get to hear and see everything, and Stef should be at the appt in time to see everything (but not hear it cause thats an earlier appointment). Unfortunately, their appointments for this aren't late in the day so Stef misses a lot of them :(
That said, there was no REAL point to this post..

(O, and its 77 right now, at 845am and its supposed to get to 92. That's not gonna be fun!)
