This has been a VERY busy week for us!
Some stuff that happened prior to this week but hasn't been blogged: Cousin Michael from Florida came to visit! Howie and John from NJ came to visit!
On Saturday, Sarah took the kiddos to the park for the morning (they even got to have their early lunch there) while Stefanie went and picked out a dress for her awesome friend Tara's wedding (she's a bridesmaid!). After our morning in the park (the previous post has photos from that), we came home and Uncle Matt came over to play with his niece and nephew.
Sunday, our friend had a birthday party for herself (she's 25, again! - and actually today May 31 is her real birthday), but since it was supposed to rain we ended up not going. We are going to see her Monday for her birthday instead. The kids and Sarah will go to her place and have our own little party! Maybe we will go to the park.. just maybe.
On Monday, we had our Twins born in the last half of 2011 meetup. There are now 5 families - 10 children! - in our group. 3 sets are boy and girl twins, one set of two girls and one set of two boys. We've got it all! It was EXTREMELY hot - about 90 most of the day - so noone stayed out too long. We ended up only meeting for a few short hours so the kids could be inside where it was a little cooler (for us, it took a little longer since we didn't have the AC in the window yet!)
Tuesday was a sweltering day again, so we stayed inside all day! Sarah blasted the AC and tried to keep the kids as comfortable (and naked) as possible. They did okay on their 8 MONTH BIRTHDAY!
Wednesday was an exciting day. Sarah took the kids to the NY Aquarium in Coney Island. They've been to the zoo, but slept through most of those two trips. They've been to the gardens, and slept. They LOVED the aquarium and were awake the entire time. We saw the sea lion feeding and had lunch in the picnic area. After, we had some time to kill before picking Stef up from work, so we walked the boardwalk for about an hour. If I, Sarah, had realized that I could get to the boardwalk/beach without having to move the car from the aquarium's parking lot, I would have brought our mat and sat on the beach with the kiddos. Now we know for next time!
Now its Thursday and we are going to do a little warehouse club shopping. Tomorrow we will likely stay inside most of the day.
This weekend, is of course another busy one! The kids have so much going on in their little lives (I swear we weren't this busy before, and they are only 8 months!) - Saturday is our friend Benjamin's 2nd birthday, and immediatally after is our friend Kathleen's daughter Bella's recital! We are very excited that they are spaced apart so well and we are able to enjoy the full of both events! On Sunday, we will meet up with our entire playgroup at the park for our monthly meetup. There usually is about 25 kids there - and less than half of them are twins!
Now that I've made you sit through the reading stuff, here are some photos...
