NEW SONOGRAMS!!!

Today was our initial screening for Downs Syndrome, which included a 2 hour long appointment for sonograms. Sarah, obviously, got to see everything from the start, and when Stefanie came she was able to see a lot!! We've got a WHOLE LOT of photos that we were sent home with, but these are the two clearest ones so we are sharing those..

Their heartbeats are perfectly healthy, which is great.
Also, the doctor said "You've made it through the first trimester," so thats a big relief! The first big obstacle is over!
We are just ecstatic about it all and can't wait to tell Stef's family at Passover and Sarah's family when we visit them later that week. The suspense and waiting of telling all our friends and family is killer!!!

One down...

Well, just last week we completed one task of "Operation Babies Frank Are Coming!" (aka OBFAC)
We've secured ourselves a large 2 bedroom apartment. Once we get the keys, Stefanie will be painting and then our stuff will be moved in. By the time the kids arrive (eek! only 6 months away!) we will be all set and ready for them! Our next task is to secure some new wheels. This weekend, our beloved Civic decided that the muffler would go kaputz, so Sarah has been staying out of it and Stefanie has been limiting her use as well as keeping the windows open at all times.
Pretty soon, we should have the car situation settled (there is a prospect on the horizon) and then we will be ready. Ya know, except for the little things like, car seats, strollers, o and MENTAL SANITY BEFORE TWINS! :)

Howdy friends, well, I should say "Howdy family!"
I'm wondering if anyone is reading this blog that I'm spending so much time blabbering on? Did you know its a bit interactive? You can comment on anything you want and say basically anything you want! Just click the comments button, write something fun and enter your "verification" code which they give you. Easy as pie! (Happy Pi day today too!)
The blog is fun to do, but I have to say it would be more fun if there was some interaction from you guys :)
It's not mandatory, but I'm losing steam on writing since I don't know if anyone is enjoying or even reading it!

Not much to say...

We've basically been doing a lot of reading and researching.. theres a lot of crazy information out there regarding twins, so pulling out the junk and listening to the right stuff is hard..
Otherwise, there is nothing new to report. Yep.. our exciting lives ends at that. :)

First Appointment

We are happy to report that our first OB appointment has gone well. Both heartbeats are healthy and they are at their expected sizes. Sarah has also been ok'ed to fly, which means she can go to NC next week, and we can fly to Florida in April to tell Sarah's family. :-D  (We figured flying was safe, but were waiting to be sure.)
So, all is well on this end with the four of us!! :)

It's back!

That "OM ___ING G" feeling of having twins and being in total shock hath returned.
Of course, we are still ecstatic, but also still shocked beyond belief. Looking at the sonogram and seeing two, seeing double as Sarah's brother Matt put is, is exciting and nerve-wracking.
Forums have told Sarah that the shock factor doesn't really go away. One woman said that at least once a day she finds herself saying "WHOA! TWINS!" and she is 30+ weeks pregnant. So, remain shocked and excited! Everyones doing it! :)

Fappletini? Vappletini?

Sarah has figured out how to make a fake/virgin appletini :-D
It is one of her favorite drinks, but obviously she wont be drinking them for some time. She is in the process of making some so she can sit and have a nice "drink" tonight. Heres hoping it turns out well!!
But the real reason for this post: which name is better Fappletini or Vappletini??
